MANAGER OF GOLF MAINTENANCE

Salary Range: $49,657 - $67,184 annually DOE; DOQ
Normal Working Hours:
7 AM to 3:30 PM; 6 AM to 2:30 PM during peak summer hours, with occasional evening and weekend hours.
Position Summary
Under supervision of the Executive Director, the Manager of Golf Maintenance is an exempt position under FLSA, responsible for planning, administering, overseeing, performing, and evaluating the implementation of a comprehensive golf course turf maintenance and management system for Estes Valley Recreation and Park District (EVRPD).
This position requires specialization and expertise in turf and soil management, landscaping, fertilizers and chemicals, irrigation systems, and equipment, material, and supplies used in golf course grounds maintenance. This employee must possess excellent supervisory, organizational, scheduling, budgeting, and public relations skills.
A minimum of five years’ experience in golf course maintenance or a related field with a minimum of five years’ experience in supervising outdoor maintenance teams is required of this position. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major work in agronomy or turf grass management or similar field is preferred; or a combination of experience and education required to perform the job effectively is acceptable.
