Youth Soccer

Wednesday, April 24, 2013: Little Kickers (3 & 4 years old) Youth Soccer will be held at the current Elementary School Gym today. All other youth soccer programming for K-6th grade teams have been cancelled today due to poor field conditions. Games will be played next Monday and Wednesday, at their regularly scheduled times. Cancellation announcements have been made at the Elementary School and Middle School. I apologize for any inconvenience.

***Now offering 2 Girls Only Soccer Teams! EVRPD is offering a 4^th-5^th Grade and a 6^th-8^th Grade GIRLS ONLY Fall Soccer Program! EVRPD believes young female
athletes will gain confidence and create strong and long lasting team bonds that will help inspire them to continue their athletic career as they become young teens by playing soccer with other young female athletes. We will still be offering a 4^th-5^th grade and 6^th-8^th grade boys’ soccer program. If there are not enough boys or girls to create teams within their division, we will combine the girls and boys to make teams.

The E.V.R.P.D. Youth Soccer Program is a co-ed instructional program emphasizing teamwork, fair play, sportsmanship, and most importantly fun for the kids. This 8-week program runs from August-October and consists of 2 trainings a week and one game on Saturdays.

Practice Dates/Times: Begin week of August 20, 2012.

**There will not be any soccer practices or games from Saturday, September 1-Tuesday, September 11, 2012 due to the Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival. Practices will resume Wednesday, September 12, 2012.

Game Dates/Times: Saturday mornings 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20

Little Kickers (3 &4 year olds):

Little Kickers is part of the EVRPD's Little Athletes program for 3 & 4 year olds. Little Athletes is a developmental youth sports program that teaches children the very basic fundamentals of the sport. 100% parent/guardian participation is required. Children practice one day a week. Fall season is 6 weeks, spring season is 5 weeks long. A team "fun day" takes place the last day of practice to showcase player progression. The group will be broken into small groups and rotate through various stations teaching various skill sets. A large group game may be mixed into the practice curriculum.

SPRING SESSION 2013:
Practice Dates/Times: Wednesday's, 4-4:45pm. 4/3, 4/17, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8.
**No soccer during Spring Break, 4/8-4/12.

Futsal (Youth Indoor Soccer League):

Across the nation children are playing futsal! Futsal is a quick paced game, played 5 on a side, and on an indoor gym. It teaches balance, motor ability, agility and co-ordination, ball mastery, accurate and quick passing and receiving, perception insight and awareness. No practices. Games only. All games will be played on Saturday mornings at the Middle School Gymnasium. Participants will receive a team t-shirt. Athletic or indoor soccer shoes required. Shinguards highly recommended. Each team needs one parent coach.

Game Dates/Times: Saturdays for 1 hour between 8am-12pm. 11/3, 11/10, 11/17, 12/1, 12/8

**There will not be any futsal on Saturday, November 24, 2012 due to Thanksgiving Break.

Bobcat Soccer Camp:

Hosted by E.V.R.P.D. and conducted by Estes Park boys and girls soccer coach, Kay Hays, and current and former Bobcat players, this youth soccer camp focuses on fundamentals through fun and interactive games, as well as small-sided scrimmages.

Dates: Monday-Friday, July 30-August 3, 2012

Time: 9am-12pm

Ages: 5-14 years old
